Stent Removal

Trying to catch up a bit here...

Feb 5th I took Jackson into Dr Young for his (hopefully) last visit. I dropped Charlotte off with my mom since last time that was just not fun. I practically dragged two kids out of that bldg crying and listened to kids crying most of the hour drive home... it was not fun. Of course Jackson, who adores his sister, whined the 10 min from my parent's house to the freeway saying "where's Charlotte?" over and over and over. Then for some reason the portable dvd player I had or the movie that was in there was having issues and kept starting over and over so Jackson got to watch 10-15 min worth of previews repeated for an hour. Luckily the weather was good and the worst of the storms had come and gone a day or two before so we didn't have bad road conditions and could travel the speed limit.

I brought my kindle hoping to entertain him. It worked for a bit. He was fine in the main waiting room and the first one but we had to wait about 15 min for the dr to meet with other patients before she could come over to her clinic room and he got a bit antsy there but once she came in it was quick. I held him on my lap and held his arms and she held his head still and just pulled out the stent. Easy peasy. He didn't even cry. Woohoo! Then we were done. We stopped at In 'n' Out because Jackson wanted fries and I didn't object to some lunch since we weren't done until almost noon. I still couldn't figure out the dvd player and it kind of worked but then was acting up again. He cried the last 10 to 15 min because he wanted out of the car and was just done and wanted a nap. So hopefully that will be our last trip with him down there but I'm so thankful for Dr Young. She is amazing and awesome. Jackson's eye has been great so far and hopefully that tear duct will do its job the rest of his life.
