I had to park at the north entrance and hike across the hospital to the south side carrying Jackson. Holy moly is that kid heavy! Luckily he's been standing so he could stand while I used the restroom and washed my hands. We didn't have to wait too long which was nice. He was pretty antsy. We did xrays first. He got nervous laying down. I think he was traumatized from the other 3 sets of xrays. But he didn't really cry. He just closed his eyes tight and a little tear came out. But he was fine without me while they did them.
Shortly after we met with Dr. Rothberg. He asked if I hated him for putting the cast on Jackson. As much as I am hating these bills as they come in it is good to know he's in good hands and has been taken care of. Jack is walking around when he hold onto something. He crawls all over too. I've caught him climbing onto things. He feels good. We're getting a hold on the diaper situation. He hasn't leaked for a few days now. We only had one poop incident that could have been way worse but thank goodness wasn't too bad. He's been able to keep pretty clean considering. He hates sponge baths. Hates them. But every night he still gets it. I use essential oils to help with the smell. I've been using my shea butter on his knee and toes that rub on the ground. They're a little rough. Dr showed me the scan and you can see a white line where the fracture was and its now calcifying. We were told to come back in 2 weeks and we'll be good! Yahoo! So they'll do xrays again on April 3rd and then cut it off.
Jackson will have to have some checkups over the next 2 years. I don't know how many or how often yet. The doctor said the broken leg will have a tendency to grow longer than the other so they need to keep an eye on that. So I don't know what they do for that. I didn't bother asking this visit because my mom was watching Charlotte and I had to get back home so she could go visiting teaching. I'll find out when they get it off. But it was great news and we only have another week. Woohoo! So excited to get my crazy boy back! And excited to send him to nursery again. He was not very happy on Sunday! :)
