Bike Rides

So during April I started to do some trail rides on my bike. I had a ton of fun! I just love being up in the foothills of the Oquirrhs and its quiet and just so many pretty views of the valley. Some of the uphills are just too hard for me so I had to walk my bike quite a bit until I get stronger. On one of my rides early one Sat morning I ended up going over my handle bars. I wasn't going fast at all and it really just happened so quick I hadn't even realized I was hurt. Within a couple days my back pain was horrendous. I was having the worst muscle spasms I've ever had. It felt like someone just stabbed me in back by my ribs and was just turning the knife. It was awful. I tried 800 mg ibuprofen, muscle relaxers and loritab. None of them did anything for me. After 5 days of barely being able to take care of my kids I went to the chiro. It took about a month to straighten me out but I finally have my back back. It feels great! I'm looking forward to some riding again soon. I've missed it!

This was near the trailhead of the end of one of my rides. I survived! I think most my rides were 9-13 miles.

Found a pretty big snake... I think it was just a gopher snake. He was like 4-5 feet.

Of course I had to touch him so I let him go across the path then I touched his tail... he then did this. Hahaha! He also hissed. Poor guy. He thought I was going to hurt him.

This is one of the Pine Canyon Trailheads

I found this cool looking grove. It's right by a trail head that leads into the Oquirrhs. Shortly after this I lost the trail

This is the north side of Anaconda. There was a small waterfall to the left you can barely see. Within 5 min of taking this picture was when I went over my handle bars.

I love seeing some of the random wildflowers that you don't get to see in town.

I think this is the Flood Canyon area where we had the fire a couple years back.

When you take the Bates Canyon trail head and do the Serengeti trail you see a lot of cattle. I tried not to disturb them like the three below when I had to pass through gates.

I just love this valley! So much beauty! I need to get back out there!
