We have had the most amazing weather this summer. Seriously my favorite summer in the 9 yrs I have lived here. Multiple times I haven't had to use the a/c. I'm going on like a week or something right now and its August! AUGUST! Crazy! And I love it because I am on equal pay and $130/mo is kind of killing me right now. Stupid Rocky Mtn Power... not a fan! We've had lots of awesome storms and the kids and I have storm chased a bit here and there. Here are just a few of the pics I took.
This was off my phone. I did a panoramic of this crazy storm at sunset. The sun just lights up the clouds in these amazing gold tones and then turns them pink and purple as the sun sets. Love it. This one was just so cool to watch build and move.
This storm I knew was going to give us something good. I wish it brought rain our way but it hovered over Erda. It moved so slow.
Of course I wanted to drive right into it because that is much more exciting than watching from afar. I was praying so hard that the hail would not break my windshield. It was insane! Notice how the road in the distance looks white. That's hail! People's yards were covered in it! I pulled over after driving out to see if I could find some to see the size.
And this is what I got. It was huge! I mean, not Midwest huge, but the biggest I've seen here!
Looked out my window one evening and saw this. The storms have just been beautiful. Love the summer storms!
