Thanksgiving 2014

Oh look... I'm behind posting... again. Story of my life. Well I'll try to remember Thanksgiving as best as I can. It was a busy time of year as always. Scott runs the inserter at his work so he gets to put all the ads in the paper. Around Thanksgiving there are a million ads that go in. Well maybe not a million but a lot! I think he said the black Friday paper had like 18 ads or something. Normally its like 6ish I think. So Scott got lots of hours which was great for Christmas. The downside is we didn't get to see him a lot until Thanksgiving day then that weekend. Which was super nice to have that time together.

I tried to do our thankful wreath again this year but kind of slacked. I do still have a list of what we put down though. We definitely were not very consistent though. But we have been praying more than we used to so I guess that's where the real opportunity exists and also living an attitude of gratitude. I'll cut myself a little slack :)

Scott's list: St George trips, Mommy, Charlotte, family, job, Jesus Christ
Audrey's list: doctors, beds, appliances, scriptures , callings, our house
Charlotte's list: the temple, school, Jackson, new friends, carving pumpkins, Mrs. Asher (her teacher)
Jackson's list: the kindle, cars, playing with the kids in nursery, grandmas and pop pops

For Thanksgiving we try to visit both families. So we got to spend time at Grandma and Grandpa Bennion's then down at my parents. It was so nice to be able to be with Scott's grandparents. That actually was the last time we got to see them both together. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas his grandma had gotten sick and been in the hospital for some things... Scott's not good at remembering details and I just get passed the information he remembers so I really don't know all that she had :) From what I understand she did have a small stroke too. She made it home just before Christmas but his grandpa has Alzheimer's and his mom, aunts and uncle decided he would be best served in a home for the time being. So its been tough I think for all of them. That has got to be so hard to see your parents go through the challenges of getting older. So I'm really thankful that we got to spend Thanksgiving with them. All of Scott's brothers were there too. We had a really mild fall so the kids got to run around outside and had a blast. I guess I only took these pictures:

These are all the Spence kids with another on the way... and no, its not me! Haha! My sister in law is pregnant and they're expecting their 3rd. I have girls camp this year and I can't go if I'm pregnant. I'm pretty sure Heavenly Father has big plans for camp so I think he'll help me out here :)

After we were there for a while we headed down to my parent's. My brother came out and we had dinner together. Supposedly my sister had to work. We still haven't seen her since she left back in March but she says she is coming out New Years Eve. So I guess we'll see. It was a really great day to just spend time with family. I always love Thanksgiving!
