Our trip so far... told in pictures....

So here are a ton of pics of what we've been up to on our trip so far
We parked at Bellagio since our hotel had free valet only (we didn't want to have to tip them when we could park for free and walk) and I guess each season they have some kind of display in the observatory and since its spring they have this like giant garden. Pretty cool. Charlotte liked it

This is kinda like a mini rose parade. A lot of the stuff here is made of flowers and plants.

We got their earlier than planned and our room wasn't ready yet so we went to walk the strip a bit. This is the Paris. Just across from Bellagio.

This is our room. This was right when you walk in. There is a little dining area

This is right across from the table. There is a little fridge, microwave and sink. It came in handy with the stuff we have for Charlotte.

This is the bedroom area. That bed is so comfy. I slept really well that night.

This is the view from the corner of the bedroom area. The flatscreen was nice. Sometimes it worked kinda goofy with the remote but still nice. The far left is the bathroom

This is the mini living room. There is a desk, couch, chair and flatscreen exactly opposite of the one that faces the bed

This is another view of the living room area. We ended up keeping Charlotte's crib over here so she couldn't see us and sleep. The shades were really cool too. It's all automatic. There was a blackout shade and a sheer one. The view from the hotel was the back lot behind the hotel/city center and the tram that runs through city center. Not the greatest view but that's ok with us!

I didn't really get a picture of the bathroom but there is a tub and shower. Charlotte looks so tiny in the tub but she loved it!

We went to dinner with Jeff Pitt (one of Scott's mission buddies) and his wife and daughter. We had a lot of fun with them and wish we lived closer to do more stuff together. But Jeff was being the crybaby in the picture. Their family is so fun.

Luckily there is Tommy's in Vegas so we decided to do breakfast there. So good. But by that afternoon I was done with fried fast food.

Here's Charlotte eating some Tommy's. She seemed to like it ok. She really just liked feeding herself.

If you don't see the shack, take it back! Miss you Tommy's!

This is at Bellagio. It's the world's largest chocolate fountain. Pretty amazing and it looks so good!

This Aria at the City Center. We didn't really get to walk around like I wanted but the architecture here is amazing. What they have done with the buildings is pretty cool. Our hotel is in the background.

I don't remember what these buildings are but kinda cool looking. Again part of the City Center

This was when we stopped at Charlie Browns on Pearblossom Hwy. They have the best milkshakes. They have a lot of stuff to look at so I had Scott and Charlotte pose with the surfin' Santa

Our first morning in Cali Charlotte woke up at 4:30 then tossed and turned in our bed until 5:30 so we were up early and got a super early start to the day.

Since we were up early I was thinking, well, low tide was at 4 or 5 this morning. Why don't we go to the tide pools. So we headed out to Malibu to Leo Carillo. One of my favorite beaches. They have the best tide pools and its right off PCH.

This is one of the anemones. There are a ton. You can poke at them and they squish up. When they're out of the water they squirt water. Kinda fun.

Me and Charlotte playing in the water.

Charlotte liked walking down the beach. She was having a blast.

Our little family beach picture.

There were lots of little anemones that Charlotte was poking. She learned quick how much fun they are. She didn't want to leave.

Another view of her poking anemones

Scott and Charlotte as cute as ever

Once we got back from the beach we met up with my friend Heather. She lives in my home ward and this is the park right down the street from where I used to live. I played here as a kid and learned to ride my bike here and everything. It was fun being back except that they took the pool out that used to be here. So different looking without the pool.

Scott and Charlotte on the slide

The monkey on the monkey bars

Charlotte playing on another slide

After getting up so early and playing at the beach then the park Charlotte crashed. She took a 3 hour nap and Scott and I even got a little nap in too. It was really nice. She slept in her crib a while but woke up crying so Scott brought her into our bed and they cuddled up and slept longer. So cute.
