Spring has sprung

So I've really been enjoying this nice warm weather we've been having as spring gets close to coming to an end. I really enjoy spring the most. I love the in between weather before it gets really hot. But now that its getting hotter its ok. The a/c works so its all good.

I am a visual person. I love to take pictures even if I'm not that great at it. I love being able to tell a story with pictures. I love to document things that way. A picture really is worth a thousand words. The story behind one picture can tell a whole lifetime or just a short moment in time. So anyway, I have some more pics to post. Some funny ones of Charlotte. She never stops making me laugh...I hope it stays that way her whole life. I also have some from this storm at my parents house the other night. Its fun to just sit on the porch and watch these crazy t-storms move in. So anyway.... in continuation with how I like to tell the story of our little Spence fam so far, here's my pics:

I was cleaning the bathrooms last week and Charlotte's new thing is to stand in totes or baskets or whatever and empty it. So she was plopped down in here putting her toys in the tub. She does the same thing with Toby's toy basket. Such a silly girl.

I just love this little face. She's so cute now that she's walking around and getting into trouble.

I like things to be neat and in order. I like having control of things and know where things are. I have learned to let that go a little bit. I just am not capable of doing that with my little stinker. So I have a drawer in the kitchen with gallon size ziplocs and sandwich size ones. Charlotte likes to pull them all out of the box and throw them all over the floor. So they are no longer in boxes and its kinda messy now. But at least I know Charlotte is picking up on something from me because although she may pull them out she does help put them back. So good.
She loves to get into stuff. She gets into the drawer below too which is the towel/washcloth drawer. She also gets into my curling irons and other hair stuff of which you'll see a pic further down.

This past Sat we went to SLC to a wedding reception for a guy that used to be one of my installers where I worked. I was very excited to go because mine and Scott's reception inspired theirs but I will admit theirs was better. Thats what I get for worrying about work too much instead of getting married and my own reception. Oh well. But they did it at Sugarhouse Park. Famous Dave's catered and they had ice cream bars and cake and soda. They did a really cute handout too. They had frisbees with stick figures of a bride and groom with their names and the date. They also had everyone come casual. I was just so glad my laid back reception inspired them cuz I just wanted everyone to relax and enjoy the weather and eachother. But they were really cute and we had a good time seeing a few people I used to work with and Charlotte just loved running around.

The pavilion they had had a stream run through so that was nice too. I just love Sugarhouse park anyway. Charlotte is just so cute walking everywhere.

This old Tooele blanket used to be Scott's and somehow Charlotte became addicted to it and love is. So sometimes when she gets tired she'll walk around with it and this time she put it on her head. She just looks so cute and I love her.

Charlotte likes playing with her Aunt Chloe. We were over Sunday watching the game.

I was cleaning our.... well I guess its like a chandelier but not big and pretty. Its basically a cheap brass 5 light fixture that hangs over our dining area (soon to be spray painted a different color since I can't afford a new one.... love spray paint). So anyway I was cleaning it and had some parts sitting on the table to close to the edge so Charlotte was playing with it and putting it over her face and making noises at Toby.

So she got into my hair stuff (what's new) and found my Jamaican headband and kept trying to put it on her head so I helped her out. She walked around wearing it for a bit.

When she wanted to go down for a nap she didn't take her headband off so I had to take a pic. She looks so tiny in Scott's arms.

Charlotte is totally daddy's girl. She is so sweet and cuddly as long as you don't take stuff away from her or make her mad. But she is so cute with Scott and she was being so cute with Scott yesterday cuddling up to him so I had to take a pic

I love the views in Tooele as I have said many times. I love my parents new house and they have some amazing mountain views where they are at. I took this pic as some t-storms started to move in for the evening. Hard to imagine all this was under water a long long time ago

I love the colors you see when its all stormy but the sun is kinda out and its setting. My camera just doesn't capture it very well but it was beautiful!

I think this was about the time the severe weather warning popped up for SLC. It was interesting watching stuff move over our house. I was just glad this didn't come in while I rode my bike down there.

We did get to see a rainbow. The kids were all excited to see it. It was huge and went all the way across the sky but I couldn't fit it all in the frame of course

So I love to cook and I love to bake. This is the second time I've made this cake. It's like a mandarin orange cake and its so yummy. I tried it the first time for a bbq with Scott's friends then made it for my family on Sunday. It is so yummy and I forgot to take a pic of it before we ever ate it because it looked so awesome but I got a pic of the last piece. I just have to make sure I save it for Scott and don't eat it.... so hard to do!
