Chloe's Gradutation

My little sister Chloe graduated from Stansbury High School on Thurs. Yahoo! She was really excited to be done with high school. She's had it rough. A lot of not nice girls making up rumors about her. Issues with graduating from seminary. Thank goodness that got worked out. They wouldn't let her take early morning when it was the only time she could take seminary and then they weren't going to let her graduate because of that semester she couldn't take seminary... it was weird and messed up but it was worked out. She had a tough time with friends and classes. Luckily there were a few teachers who did actually care and try to help. She had an English teacher that did a lot for her and even got some of her stuff published into some literary journal things. She had a counselor who worked with her and her classes and helped get her diagnosed for her dyscalculia. That was a big help. Then they could help her do better in her math class and help makeup a fail she had had in the past because they would move so fast and she just couldn't keep up. She actually had a teacher who would only teach the kids to do it one way and they had to do it that one way. Hence the fail. With dyscalculia she just couldn't understand it. But her teacher this year was so much more helpful in explaining things and would take the time to meet with her to help her grades improve. I am so glad she doesn't have to deal with the drama of high school anymore (some girls had recently made a book similar to the one in the movie Mean Girls... yeah... no joke). I am just super grateful for the few teachers and administrators that made the effort to help her be successful. So we went out to the Huntsman Center where they had the graduation (so weird it was in SLC). We ate at Mimi's before and that was super yummy. I hadn't been there since forever! I took just a few pics. The seating is in a stadium which is ridiculous for a high school graduation. I don't know why they don't do it at their school. So you basically can't get any good pics of the graduation. Not to mention the sound system was horrible and the should have just skipped all musical numbers. Too long and you couldn't hear them and the recorded music they used sounded awful. I felt really bad for them. It was a pretty lame ceremony. I'm just so glad she's done with it all!
This was when they called her name
That's her walking down the ramp
 Kids throwing their caps

Her goofy face. That sweet lei was made by our neighbor. She makes it out of ti leaves. I just had to fold up all those ones for her to tie on. That was one of our gifts to her
The other gifts were this book called microwave cooking for one. It was kinda like a gag gift because she says she can't cook. Then inside it I hid two tickets for us to go see Foster The People on July 5th! I am sooooooo excited! Chloe is too. They are her favorite. And its just out at Saltair so yay for the 15-20 drive! My parents are sending her to So Cal with my brother when he goes out for my nephews bday. They are going to Disneyland and an Angels/Dodgers game. She is gonna have a blast! She is so excited for this summer. Yay for our Chlo bug!
