5 months

Holy moly my dude is 5 months! I can't believe its been that long. He is really changing. He had rolled a few times before but now its almost automatic. The majority of the time I lay him on the ground he flips right over onto his tummy. He'll only go to his left. A couple times he's gone from back to front to back. But mainly just back to front. He wiggles around on his tummy. He'll turn 180 degrees on his tummy sometimes and has done 360 on his back in his crib. He's pretty strong. He likes to play in his exercise saucer. Only for about 10-15ish min. Depends on the day and his mood. He will grab anything within his reach. I have to be careful if I'm cooking or eating while holding him. He sleeps pretty good at night. He's been waking up in the middle of the night recently because now that he can roll he'll do that in his crib and then starts crying. Of course I can't just turn him over and expect him to sleep so I have to feed him. Still loves his baths. He fits in some 3-6 mo stuff still and is filling into the carters 6 mo size pretty good and can wear some 6-9 mo. He's still long and his weight still seems average. I won't get stats until next months visit. He's been healthy and he eats like a beast. If we have money with Scott's next paycheck I'm going to buy a bumbo and start him on some rice cereal and veggies shortly after that. I think he's ready. His naps still vary. Sometimes I can get 3 good ones a day but then there are days he fights it and is quite grumpy in the evening. But I can almost always have him to bed around 9 or 9:30.

Charlotte has been a good helper. She gets him toys and tries to keep him happy if I'm cooking or cleaning. He adores Charlotte and loves to watch her run around and play. He smiles when he sees her and goes crazy and laughs and giggles when she talks to him. He loves to watch Toby too. I think he's trying to figure out what the heck he is. He likes to be outside and is usually pretty chill when we walk with him in the wagon. He still smiles a ton and gets all excited when he sees you come in in the morning. He's still pretty cuddly and I love the look on his face when he sees Scott come home in the evening. It's hard because Charlotte wants to do all this stuff with Scott and he's exhausted from his 12 hour or more days and Jackson is usually done with me by that point so Scott gets kind of overload with the kids as soon as he walks in the door. But he's such a good dad to these kiddos. I couldn't have found a better guy.

So I have a couple pics. I've kind of lacked here and I really need to get some new discs for our video camera. We desperately need to record more of Jackson. He is growing up way too fast!

The close up is kinda blurry but the way I was holding him he kept turning around to look at me and his face is so dang cute. Love my boy. Oh and his eyes are already starting to turn brown.

This was just after a bath. I love his cheeks. He has more chunk than Charlotte ever did.
