It wasn't super crowded yet. The parking lot was half full at like 10am after being open an hour. We were able to see quite a bit. Charlotte got to ride on the carousel a couple times. Jackson wasn't too sure about it. I think the kids just had fun being out. Jackson walked around a bit but just wanted to get into trouble. But he did really good when he was in the stroller. It was so nice to just be together, in fresh air, and just not at home.
This was Charlotte's second time on the carousel. Cute punk
This was when we first got to the zoo. She was so excited but then she gets all goofy like she doesn't know how to act. Pretty sure I make this similar face though :)
Charlotte wouldn't sit up there with Jackson so I took a pic with him. Love this little dude!
Jack Jack!
This was the first ride on the carousel. It was only us and this one other little girl next to us. It was so empty that morning!
Little miss serious. Can't smile for me.
But this dude will!
These lizards are so cute! I love animals!
This monkey could not keep still. I should call it Jackson. But he was just hanging out right in the front of his exhibit. It was feeding time and he was looking for food.
I used to always want one of these. Well I still kinda do. But they are quite loud. It's a salmon crested cockatoo. The hand fed ones can just be so dang sweet! At first I thought Charlotte was screaming while she was running around in the exhibit. I started to get after her and then Scott pointed out the bird. It sounded just like her! It was a high pitch scream. So crazy! But they are so cute!
They had a couple large tortoises there too.
The giraffes were inside while they were doing some landscaping stuff outside. The baby is so cute!
Serious punk again.
Scott is hilarious. Someone wrote "bay" with a heart and a question mark. So my very thoughtful, sensitive husband wrote "lame." Hahaha... oh Scooter. You're too funny!
Then he wrote Charlotte's name for fun.
He is just the happiest dude ever! If I have more kids, I need more boys! :) And I love that he's using Charlotte's Tangled blanket.
After the zoo we did our grocery shopping. Luckily Trader Joe's isn't too far. They always have the random veggies I can't find in Tooele at our stores. They also just have some good stuff and really some of their stuff isn't too far off the store price and its organic. So I got a few things there. Then I needed to stop at Costco for a few things. Scott and Charlotte got some pizza. Jackson was asleep when I went to TJ's and then Charlotte crashed before I got to Costco. So Jackson joined me in Costco then we all went to Winco after for a few more things. We ended up getting home between 3 and 4. It was a long day but so nice to be out of Tooele for a bit. We have a trip planned the beginning of May. Scott is going to take off a little time from work and we're going to enjoy St. George in some cooler weather before summer hits. Scott works a lot of hours and his calling keeps him busy so we treasure all the time we get with him.
