After church we came home and decided to do a little exploring. There is this development called Kayenta that is just a few miles to the west.
I saw they had a "rock park." Not really sure what that meant but wanted to see what it was. They had some trails too but our kids don't do so great on hikes which bums me out because I love hiking. So we checked out the rock park and it's basically just some sandstone rocks you can climb on. I took a few pics. Beautiful scenery.
I saw all these little animal prints and wanted to get a picture. Some are obviously bird. I think some might be a bunny. Hard to tell. Then I'm thinking snake because I don't see any prints that look like it could be legs with a tail dragging behind. Just a cool little feature of nature.
I had seen a sign for a labyrinth and wanted to check that out too. They have this path with different pieces of art along the way that leads you down to a labyrinth. It takes a lot longer to walk then you'd think but something kind of cool and different.
This kid is like me and gets a red face when he gets hot. It wasn't that hot out but this little kid turned so pink!
After this we headed back. We got to drive by the Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness Ridge. It's just 2-3 miles I think from the condo. I ended up having a dream that night that I got to go and was super excited because for some reason Jillian was there and I got to have a training session with her. My funny dreams.
Monday morning we were still recovering from our crazy ab workout Sat morning so we kinda took it easy. We jogged to a park that is just a little over a quarter mile from the condo but we took a bit longer way to make the round trip just shy of a mile. We figured we'd let the kids play a bit while it was a nice cool morning.
Selfies! :)
After this I'm drawing a blank. I think this was the first day we went to the pool and played tennis. We may have actually gone to the pool twice this day. I think we went once before Jackson's nap and then again after dinner. Either way it was a fun day and felt so good to just be together as a family doing stuff.
